This week would have marked the end to my show season for 2020 with RHS Tatton Park Flower Show. Through work (Bernhard’s Nurseries), I manage the production and supply plants for between 15-20 show gardens and a number of trade stands and displays each year, culminating in supply to RHS Tatton Park in late July.
This year, we supplied zero as there were no shows.
Tough emotionally, financially for many companies doing what we do and altogether disappointing. Tough to not see all the friends that work on show gardens in our usual haunts. Necessary though with the current state of the planet.
All of us who work on show gardens look forward to next year, where we can hopefully resume shows. Until then though, we must celebrate shows at home, largely reflecting on previous experiences.
The RHS asked me if I could do something for #rhstatton #tattonathome and so I pulled together some of the many images of gardens that I have supplied through Bernhard’s and previously with my former employer and put them into a short video (Below). I hope that you like them.
