Today I shared the above picture of Pyracantha coccinea in bud for my #oneadayplant series. I like Pyracantha, if it would be a stretch to say love. They are great doers and consistently perform well, even when neglected or in less than ideal spots.
Well places plants given time to flourish can be amazing and now, increasingly, I look out for a very particular moment in these plants. The point just before flowers open, where the little, white, spherical flowerbuds float above the leaves is my absolute favourite. I like the flowers, I really rate the berries, but the flower buds are my favourite moment/feature of the plant by far.
Just so beautiful!
To that end, I thought I would share a few more photos of the plant nearby my home that has captured my attention today as it has in other years.
